Poker Sorrow - Unfortunately, It Happens

All poker players experience it - poker sorrow. There are days, weeks or months where you can't just seem to win. You keep incurring losses after losses. It happens to all players - yes, even the professional ones. Many players experience bad poker sessions one after another. They get bad cards consistently and they can't seem to dish out a great gameplay. These things happen. If you are playing for free, it wouldn't matter. However, if you are playing for stakes - no matter how low - poker sorrow will really hit you hard.

Poker Sorrow - It Happens!

These days, poker is more than just a game or a hobby. Stakes are getting higher. Thousands of dollars are placed at stake. It would have been easier if you don't actually worry about losing money, but you do. Like most players, you are probably risking hard-earned cash. It can be a couple of dollars, a couple of hundred bucks or a couple of thousands. It doesn't matter how much. The bottomline is that you are still risking your money; so naturally, you would be worried about it.

There are many players who have actually quit their jobs and have turned to online poker for a living. Needless to say, their winnings pay their electricity and water bills. Taken at this angle, poker is truly far from just being a game. Many people need to win if they want to be able to pay the bills. So, if they see their bankroll dwindling, it is but natural to expect that they would be swamped by poker sorrow.

How to Avoid Poker Sorrow

The minute you sit in that poker table, you should adopt a positive attitude. Don't send out bad vibes. Do not think that you will get the bad cards. A bad game also starts with having great cards but having your opponents eventually beating the same. Often, when this happens, most players will adopt a bad gameplay. They would start pushing bad hands or cards. Ironically, this is the gameplay that they should have pursued with great hands. With bad cards, this strategy results to poker sorrow. Playing a good game, therefore, requires knowledge of the right strategies to use at any particular situation.

Poker is not easy and it is a game of chance. You need to have all your wits with you every time you sit for a poker game. Poker sorrow is inevitable sometimes. All you can do is adopt strategies to avoid its occurrence.
