How to Maintain Your Weekly Poker Game

How you maintain your weekly poker game with your buddies is the yardstick of how long it would last. If you're the most consistent winner in your circle, you'd like to keep the most consistent losers in the game so that you'll rake more money from them. How to keep losers to still play is quite a challenge, but this would be easier if you lift their morale and by keeping the game appealing to them.

Making the game more appealing

When players in your circle enjoy the game, they forget about the money. Plus, when the game is very attractive, you'll pull more players in your game. To make your private poker game more attractive, first, you encourage an atmosphere without pressure. The game appears to be relaxed and carefree. Second, an enjoyable game is keeping your players out of feuds and serious arguments. You have to have a full grasp of the house rules and poker rules to be able to resolve problems during the game. Third, to make the game appealing you should prevent complaints about the game by resolving them quickly. Fourth, the weaker the players and the more pleasant they are, the better the game would go. Fifth, you should always strive to make the game well-organized. And last but not the least, a good refreshments and a new deck of cards are always a welcome respite.

Another way of maintaining your game is to help losers. When you're a consistent winner poor players become your assets. If they sense that they're losers, they'll pack and leave. But if you act as their shield, they'll stay. Always avoid personal arguments with losers. And you protect their dignity from unpleasant players. And you shield them from bad credit too by making them write a check instead. Without losers knowing about it, they're protector would be the one setting them up for more big losses. When they do losses big time, they might leave. So to maintain the game, you should help them out to win sometimes. You can do this by increasing the ante, helping their betting pace, and assisting them whenever possible. But you should help them in a manner that would come back to you in profits.

You could also raise the morale of losers whenever possible. This time, you may deceptively show sympathy and understanding to keep them at the game. If they loses their morale, you could resort to talking to losers privately, which usually have a therapeutic effects to the losers.
